China's ChiNext Index Rebounds Nearly 2% on May 28; PCB, CPO Sectors Surge

According to PANews, China's A-share indices recovered on May 28, with the ChiNext (growth board) index rising 1.96% (nearly 2%), rebounding from earlier declines of over 1%. The Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.12%, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.8%. Total trading volume across the two markets reached 2.97 trillion yuan.

Sector rotation accelerated during the session, with over 3,000 individual stocks advancing and more than 100 hitting daily limits. CPO concept stocks surged in afternoon trading, while PCB-related names rebounded strongly. Key gainers included energy stocks (China Huadian Energy and Guangdong Electric Power extended their rallies), semiconductor supply chain components, and lab-grown diamonds sector.
