China Implements Export Controls on Rare Earths and Critical Minerals, Reviews Compliant Applications

According to China's Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese government recently announced it will implement lawful export controls on rare earths and other critical minerals as part of preliminary results from China-U.S. economic and trade negotiations. The ministry stated that compliant, civilian-use export license applications will be reviewed accordingly. Both countries committed to jointly researching solutions to address each other's reasonable concerns.
