Amazon Shelves Sam Altman Film 'Artificial' Following $50 Billion OpenAI Investment

According to Puck, Amazon shelved its nearly finished film 'Artificial' late Thursday and is now shopping it to rival studios for release. The decision, made by Mike Hopkins who oversees Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, follows the company's $50 billion investment into OpenAI. The Andrew Garfield-starring film depicts Altman's 2023 ouster as OpenAI CEO and reportedly portrays him unfavorably, describing him as power-hungry and manipulative. Creative Artists Agency is screening the project for potential new distributors.
