Laut Cointelegraph gewann Manny Rutinel am 2. Juli die Vorwahl der Demokraten im 8. Bezirk von Colorado mit 61,7 % der Stimmen und zog damit in die allgemeine Wahl im November ein. You Can Push Back Super PAC, finanziert mit 3,5 Millionen US-Dollar vom Ripple Labs-Mitbegründer Chris Larsen, gab 1 Million US-Dollar aus, um Rutinels Wahlkampf vor der Vorwahl zu unterstützen.

Rutinel erhielt von Stand With Crypto, einer Coinbase-nahen Organisation, eine Bewertung mit "starker Unterstützung für Krypto".
