🔥Thillis ends months of obstruction, clearing the way for Waller's Federal Reserve Chair nomination
North Carolina Republican Senator Tom Tillis announced on Sunday that he will support Kevin Waller's confirmation as Federal Reserve Chair, removing the final major obstacle for Trump's pick to succeed Powell.
Tillis had previously refused to vote in support of Waller for months, citing ongoing criminal investigations into Powell and claiming it undermined the independence of the central bank.
The investigation concluded last Friday.
