The President of the United States, Donald Trump, ordered the U.S. Navy (AL) to shoot and destroy every Iranian vessel laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
“I have ordered the U.S. Navy to shoot and destroy every vessel, no matter how small, that lays mines in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. There must be no doubt,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social on Thursday (23/04).
In addition, the U.S. mine-clearing ships are currently clearing the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said that 159 units have already been destroyed and are at the bottom of the sea, and he asked that this activity be carried out three times more often.
As for, the U.S. acknowledges that its military has taken control of the Strait of Hormuz, and it is being kept tightly closed until Iran can reach an agreement with the Trump Administration.
