So I was scrolling through some insider trading data and noticed Meta's executives have been dumping shares pretty aggressively over the past year. Zuckerberg himself sold over 1.1 million shares since last summer - that's roughly $663 million worth. Just recently in mid-January, he offloaded another 2,417 shares. Makes you wonder what's going on when the CEO is that active with zuckerberg stock sales, right?

It's not just him either. Pretty much the entire executive team at Meta has been selling - the CFO, CTO, COO, all of them. Combined, these insider stock sales add up to hundreds of millions. Over the last 6 months alone, insiders made 1,060 trades on Meta stock and literally all of them were sales. Not a single purchase from any of the major executives.

Interestingly, institutional investors seem mixed on Meta too. Some big funds like Morgan Stanley have been adding to their positions, but others like International Assets Investment Management basically cleared out their entire stake - dumped 9.5 billion dollars worth. When you see that kind of divergence between insiders selling and some institutions still buying, it's definitely worth keeping an eye on. The zuckerberg stock sales activity is pretty notable considering his historical relationship with the company, so this selling pressure from the top is something traders are definitely tracking right now.
