ME News message, April 19 (UTC+8), at the “Linking the World, the Future Without Limits” frontier technology forum jointly organized by the Frontier Technology Research Institute and ME Group, Dr. Lin Jiali BBS JP, Chairman of the Financial Task Force of the United Nations ESCAP Sustainable Business Network, and President of the Artificial Intelligence Investment Promotion Foundation, and former Chairman of Hong Kong Cyberport, stated that 2026 is the year for major development of AI and the beginning of the AI golden decade, with artificial intelligence rapidly and profoundly changing corporate decision-making and the competitive landscape of industries.

He emphasized that Hong Kong has unique advantages such as geography, capital, talent, the rule of law, and an internationalized ecosystem, and is fully capable of becoming the key bridge connecting China’s innovation with global markets, as well as an ideal base and springboard for Chinese companies to go global. Last year, Hong Kong completed 119 IPOs; this year, hundreds of excellent companies are still lining up. Hong Kong can mobilize domestic and international capital to empower tech entrepreneurs, and it is also consolidating more “patient capital” institutional investors, including Hong Kong Investment Management Limited. In addition, the recent outbreak of conflicts in the Middle East has highlighted Hong Kong’s unique advantage as a safe haven for global capital and high-end talent, with a steady influx of international capital continuously flowing into Hong Kong and allocating heavy investments to Hong Kong and the Chinese market. He called on entrepreneurs that, in the AI and Web3 era, they should not only understand markets and capital, but also understand technology, understand the ecosystem, understand policies, understand risk management, and understand cross-border operations, to build careers and start businesses in the Pearl of the Orient and help Hong Kong continue to lead in artificial intelligence and Web3.(Source: ME News)
