ME News, April 19 (UTC+8): Security has been upgraded locally in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, with some shops closed, traffic partially restricted, and increased security forces deployed around several hotels. A Pakistani source said that on that day, three aircraft carrying U.S. personnel landed at Nur Khan Air Base. At present, shops on both sides of the road connecting Islamabad and Nur Khan Air Base have closed, and security forces including the military police have been reinforced around several major hotels in the city. Meanwhile, the Serena Hotel, where the previous round of U.S.-Iran negotiations took place, and the nearby Marriott Hotel have notified their in-house guests to check out on the same day.
