🔥OPEC warns that the high costs and lengthy timelines for energy facility repairs will impact crude oil supply


According to Reuters, the OPEC+ committee meeting on Sunday expressed concern over attacks on energy assets during the US-Israel and Iran conflicts, stating that the repair costs are high and the process is time-consuming, which could affect supply. The statement said: "The committee emphasizes that ensuring the safety of international maritime routes is crucial to guarantee the continuous and uninterrupted flow of energy. The committee is concerned about attacks on energy infrastructure, noting that restoring damaged energy assets to full capacity is costly and time-consuming, thereby impacting overall supply capability." On the prediction market Polymarket, the probability that WTI crude oil closes above $130 in a single day has risen to 51%, and the probability that it closes above $120 has risen to 80%.
