Kevin Warsh Hearing Proceeding Despite Objections

The Senate Banking Committee plans to hold a hearing for Kevin Warsh, although the date has not been officially announced. According to CNBC, a source familiar with the matter confirmed the date as April 16.

However, the nomination faces opposition within the committee. Senator Tom Tillis stated that he will not support Kevin Warsh until a separate investigation is completed. Nevertheless, President Donald Trump continues to push for his confirmation.

Tillis acknowledged Warsh's qualifications but insists that the Federal Reserve must remain independent before any vote is taken. This stance is creating uncertainty as the hearing date approaches.
