What is Halving?

Halving is a quadrennial event where the (reward) for Bitcoin miners is cut in half. If miners previously received 6.25 BTC per block, after the halving they only receive 3.125 BTC.

Why is this important?

Maintaining Scarcity: The total supply of Bitcoin is limited to 21 million. Halving ensures that BTC does not experience excessive inflation.

Price Effect: Historically, after each halving, Bitcoin's price tends to rise significantly due to reduced selling pressure from miners while demand remains high. #GateSquareAprilPostingChallenge #MarchNonfarmPayrollsIncoming #IsraelStrikesIranBTCPlunges #CryptoMarketSeesVolatility
