If your principal is less than $5,000, take a break and listen to my advice.
The crypto world is not a casino; it's a battlefield of strategy. With less capital, you need to be more cautious, just like an experienced hunter who stays calm. Last year, I mentored a beginner whose account was only $800. At first, he was trembling even when placing orders, afraid of losing everything with one mistake.
I told him, "Follow the rules, and you'll gradually improve." After four months, his account exceeded $19k; six months later, it shot up to $28k, and he never once got liquidated. Someone asked if it was luck? Not at all. It’s all about strict discipline.
These three "life-saving and profit-generating" ironclad rules helped him go from $800 to where he is now:
First: Divide your funds into three parts, leaving a backup. Split your principal into three portions: $300 for day trading, focusing only on Bitcoin and Ethereum, taking profits when volatility hits 2%-4%; $250 for swing trading, waiting for clear opportunities before entering, holding for 2-4 days for stability; $250 as a reserve, remaining untouched even in extreme market conditions—this is the confidence to turn things around. Have you seen those who go all-in with thousands of dollars? They get excited when prices rise, panic when they fall, and can’t go far. True winners know to keep some money on the sidelines.
Second: Follow the trend, avoid churning in sideways markets. The market spends about 80% of the time in consolidation, and frequent trading just pays platform fees. When there’s no signal, stay put; when there is, act decisively. Take half profits when up 12%, locking in gains is the safest move. The rhythm of experts is "do nothing if no signal; when there is, hit it perfectly." When his account doubled, I watched him calmly collect profits—no impatience, no chasing highs.
Third: Prioritize rules, control your emotions. Never risk more than 1.2% on a single stop-loss; exit when the target is reached. Take half off when profits exceed 2.5%, letting the rest run. Never add to losing positions; don’t let emotions drag you down. You don’t need to predict every market move perfectly, but you must always stick to your rules. Making money is about systems that keep your impulses in check.
Remember, having a small principal isn’t scary; what’s dangerous is always hoping for a "big turnaround." From $800 to $28k, it’s not luck but rules, patience, and discipline. I used to stumble around in the dark alone; now, I hold the light. $BTC $ETH $SOL
