Bitcoin 2026 Conference Announces Afroman as Keynote Speaker
Afroman confirms he will attend Bitcoin 2026 after winning a freedom of speech lawsuit, and his courtroom fighting spirit closely aligns with the idea of Bitcoin advocating personal sovereignty.
After Afroman secured a landmark victory in his fight to defend free speech, he confirmed his attendance at Bitcoin 2026
NASHVILLE, Tennessee - March 30, 2026: The Bitcoin Conference today announced that renowned rapper, cultural trailblazer, and free-speech advocate Afroman will attend the Bitcoin 2026 conference, held April 27 through 29 at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.
Afroman is known worldwide for the 2001 hit song “Because I Got High,” but over the past three years, he has immersed himself in a legal battle that goes beyond the music itself. In 2022, law enforcement officers searched his residence with no results, and Afroman then used surveillance footage to create music as a comeback. The move prompted seven officers to sue him for defamation and to seek nearly $4 million in damages. Earlier this month, a jury ruled in favor of Afroman. At the courthouse steps, he said, “This is not my victory, but America’s.”
This journey strongly aligns with Bitcoin’s core.
Bitcoin has become a platform for individuals to push back against excessive interference and to fight for financial and free-speech sovereignty. Afroman’s recent legal battle, challenging authority through music and memes, is perfectly in step with the Bitcoin community’s spirit of pursuing transparency and personal sovereignty.
BTC Inc. CEO Brandon Green said: “Bitcoin is not just about money—it’s about defending freedom. We’re honored to stand with people who dare to fight back.”
Afroman’s participation in Bitcoin 2026 will extend beyond the stage. The U.S. flag suit he wore during his legal battle will be displayed in the “Relics of a Revolution” section of the conference arts exhibition, with the aim of exploring artistic expression against entrenched power. The suit is currently being auctioned through the Scarce.city platform (link). For the full auction catalog, please see: https://shop.museum.b.tc/.
Bitcoin 2026 will bring together more than 30k attendees worldwide and over 500 speaking guests. For more information, visit 2026.b.tc.
