Honestly, I now play several matches of the Arena every day with @RealGoOfficial. From casually catching a few pets to now gradually studying team composition and staking strategies, I truly feel that the gameplay has changed quite a bit from before.
After a week and over 20 matches, here are some points:
1⃣ Ordinary pets are no longer enough: high-level pets are now all high stats, and strong combo S-grade pets. The Doge I bought for 10U before has now risen to 35U, mainly because it’s the best in the Fire burst strategy.
2⃣ Team composition versus combat power: I mainly use two setups: for 1v1, I go with Fire burst, Doge plus Bayc plus Pnut, starting by instantly taking out the backline, with a win rate of about 65%. In multiplayer chaos, I switch to Ice Water control, using PEPE plus Pengu, freezing enemies to wear them down gradually.
3⃣ Odds: If your combat power is more than 20% higher than the opponent’s, you can fight; if it’s more than 30% lower, don’t bother. A few days ago, I fought against an opponent with 12,800 while I had 9,800. It seemed hopeless, but since I have an advantage over Fire with Ice, plus controlling with items, I finally won, gaining 38% points and 120 RT fragments.
My current strategy is to stake no more than 10% of the total chips each time. If I lose, I review and change the team composition. I don’t go all-in hard; I start with zero investment to practice, then develop the main team in the mid-game, and wait until the rental market opens later.
Overall, the Arena adds a competitive flavor to @RealGoOfficial’s gameplay. Winning or losing directly affects the rewards. It’s definitely more interesting than pure idle play before, and also more challenging. Losing makes me feel the pain of chips, while winning gives a strong sense of achievement.
