$SOL is looking interesting again, but the mood around Solana is mixed right now. As of April 4, 2026, SOL is trading near $80, with a market cap around $45.9 billion, while recent trading activity has cooled compared with earlier sessions. Solana still remains one of the strongest on-chain ecosystems, with roughly $5.45 billion in DeFi TVL, about $14.8 billion in stablecoin market cap, and more than $1.3 billion in 24-hour DEX volume. That tells me real usage is still there even while price action feels heavy.
The latest update that matters most is not only price. On March 24, the Solana Foundation launched the Solana Developer Platform, aiming to make it easier for institutions and enterprises to build on Solana. That adds to the bigger story that Solana is pushing harder into payments, tokenized assets, and infrastructure. At the same time, sentiment took a hit after Solana-based Drift suffered a major exploit of about $285 million on April 1, which reminded the market that ecosystem growth still comes with serious risk.
My view: $SOL still has strong fundamentals, but in the near term it looks like a momentum battle between adoption growth and shaken confidence. If buyers regain strength, Solana can recover quickly, but caution still matters here today.#SOLUSDT #Web3SecurityGuide #CryptoMarketSeesVolatility #GateSquareAprilPostingChallenge $SOL
