just spent way too much time digging through crypto education channels on youtube and honestly there's some solid stuff out there if you know where to look. started from scratch trying to find the best crypto youtube channel for different skill levels and ended up with this whole map of who's actually worth watching vs who's just chasing hype.
for people just getting into this, 99Bitcoins and Crypto Casey are the real deal - they actually focus on teaching you not to get scammed instead of pumping tokens. both have been around forever (99Bitcoins since 2015) and they keep things simple without the bs. videos are short too, like 6-15 minutes, which is perfect when you just want quick fundamentals. Andrei Jikh and Brian Jung are also solid if you want the personal finance angle mixed with crypto - they've got millions of subscribers for a reason.
if you're past the basics, the intermediate channels get way more interesting. EllioTrades and Jacob Crypto Bury are constantly finding altcoin narratives early, which is useful if you're actually trying to research projects instead of just gambling. Crypto Jebb does clean technical analysis with actual tradingview charts - no nonsense, just support/resistance and what the chart is actually telling you. Coin Bureau (2.73M subs) is probably the best crypto youtube channel if you want deep project reviews and DeFi breakdowns - Guy Turner actually reads whitepapers and doesn't just shill whatever.
for the hardcore analysis people, Benjamin Cowen's Into The Cryptoverse is different - lots of on-chain data and quantitative stuff. CryptosRUs and The Moon focus on technical analysis and price patterns. Bankless is great if you're specifically into DeFi and want to understand the protocols beyond just "number goes up."
real talk though - i've noticed the biggest issue is people treating these creators like financial advisors when they're just sharing analysis and opinions. even the best crypto youtube channel creators will tell you to DYOR. watch multiple perspectives, especially if someone's bearish alongside the bulls, and definitely check if they're getting paid to promote stuff. also smaller channels sometimes hit different than the mega ones - less polished but sometimes more honest.
the key is matching the channel to where you actually are in your learning. don't jump straight to advanced technical analysis if you don't know what a blockchain is yet, and don't waste time on beginner content if you're already trading. been following maybe 10-15 of these now and it's actually helped way more than random twitter takes. what channels are you guys watching?
