America's global hegemony strategy emphasizes comprehensive control and precise resource allocation, avoiding excessive core force expenditure on minor strategic directions. The Middle East remains important to the United States, as energy security and regional allies' interests need to be maintained, but it is no longer the top strategic priority for the U.S.


Currently, the United States must maintain a basic influence in the Middle East to prevent Iran from completely disrupting the regional balance, but it cannot commit all its strength to confront Iran head-on. This dilemma stems from the fact that the U.S. needs to focus most of its strategic efforts on the Indo-Pacific region to address the comprehensive challenges brought by great power competition.
