I asked them if they were using a datacenter VPN.

Them: Yes.

Me: That's definitely done for... Those IPs are all shared public IPs. It would be weird if something didn't go wrong.

There are still plenty of solutions though. If you're not that careful about it, just spend some money to rent an AWS instance / get a Mac mini overseas and access it remotely...
