Most current blockchains are designed for humans. Everything revolves around “users sitting in front of screens and interacting.”

But soon, not all activities on the blockchain will be done directly by people. There will be “agents” that operate automatically on our behalf.
For example:
• Rebalancing portfolios when the market fluctuates
• Transferring assets when interest rates elsewhere are higher
• Automatically triggering actions in games when events occur
These things can't run smoothly if the network is slow, fees are unpredictable, or confirmations take too long.
This is where I see Somnia's approach as sensible.
Somnia is not just built to make user interactions faster. They build it so the system can react automatically when changes happen. That is, when an event occurs, the network processes it immediately, without anyone needing to “confirm for you.”
Old blockchains are like a transaction counter, where you have to wait in line.
The new model is like an automated system, ready to run when conditions are met.
I really like this approach. Because if Web3 only serves traders and airdrop participants, it’s very hard to expand into the real world. But if it’s fast and stable enough for automated systems to operate on it, then practical applications will be many times greater.
