Seeing AINFT's launch of Bank of AI, I took a quick look at the documentation and GitHub. It seems to be a tool layer that adds on-chain payment, identity, and DeFi capabilities to AI Agents. Mainly running on TRON and BNB Chain, supporting x402 payment standard, 8004 identity, MCP interface, Skills module, and an OpenClaw plugin.

Core idea: Previously, I wanted AI to handle transfers, lending, and write a bunch of contract interaction code by itself. Now, with OpenClaw and a plugin, just a few lines of configuration can let the Agent directly call SunSwap for exchanges or JustLend for lending. The barrier to entry has definitely lowered, especially for AI developers unfamiliar with Solidity.
But after trying the demo, I have a few thoughts:
1⃣ Installing OpenClaw is fairly smooth, but storing private keys in environment variables always feels uneasy. More testing is needed before using on mainnet.
2⃣ Currently, the features are quite basic: payments, simple DeFi operations, but no mature examples of complex autonomous strategies yet.
3⃣ Cross-chain expansion is promised, but right now only two chains are supported. Future compatibility depends on development.
4⃣ GitHub stars are few, issues are few, and community activity is moderate. Not sure how many people are actually using it.
Overall, it’s an interesting experiment, pushing AI Agents from just chat generation to being able to spend money and do work independently. But it’s still far from large-scale deployment, more of an early-stage experimental tool.
