Most open-source projects claiming to be AI trading have little to no core value for trading. Why would profitable strategies be open-sourced to you?

Apart from providing a bunch of news sources, options data, technical indicators, and liquidation info, there’s nothing more in these open-source AI trading projects.
AI is a great executor, but it’s not good at complex trading judgments and deep thinking. The real trading workflow requires you to have sustainable profit-making trading skills and models without AI. AI is just amplifying the boundaries of your strategies.
Pure AI trading at this stage is just a random walk, no different from flipping a coin. Expecting open-source projects to directly make money through trading is overestimating AI’s intelligence.
So how does AI make money? Write a post about building a trading workflow with AI, earning a few hundred dollars in 24 hours, gaining traffic growth, and Elon Musk might give you a gold coin explosion.
Yesterday, I saw an open-source financial trading tool with nearly 100,000 stars. It only open-sourced a faucet—water is an API wrapped by others, and in the end, they sell you SaaS annual memberships.
Since AI coding appeared, the cost of generating code on GitHub is almost zero. Now it has become a marketing tool for various products.
Now, besides managing X well, you also need to maintain your GitHub stars and followers. Tasks that used to require professional programmers are now democratized by AI.
GitHub is the real place for marketing IP in the future. After all, there are many beginners now, and they’re anxious about AI, afraid of missing the next awesome open-source project. Following and starring is very low-cost.
Recently, I plan to launch an open-source short drama workflow platform and a metaphysics-based emotional prediction project, still in the Vibe finishing stage.
One major Vibe project per week—only this era’s technological democratization can make it happen.
