An interesting product idea: what if blockchain doesn't compete on TPS but instead focuses on compliant tokenization of real-world assets?

Dusk is pursuing exactly this direction. As a Layer-1 public chain, it uses the Zedger framework to handle the on-chain issues of traditional assets like securities and funds. Its core selling point is zero-knowledge proofs—protecting business secrets while meeting regulatory requirements. In simple terms, it finds a balance between privacy and compliance.

The interesting part on the technical level is the upcoming Lightspeed L2. This second-layer solution plans to achieve EVM compatibility, meaning DeFi applications from the Ethereum ecosystem can be directly migrated, with added privacy features. Imagine what it would be like if existing DeFi toolchains suddenly gained privacy attributes.

From a tokenomics perspective, DUSK is designed to be quite robust. It has multiple uses such as staking, transaction fees, and governance rights, with a slow release cycle over 36 years to avoid short-term inflation pressures. This design framework is generally more attractive to institutional investors—not for hype, but as a sustainable infrastructure token.

The mainnet was launched in early 2025, and the ecosystem is gradually evolving. The combination of privacy and compliance indeed still has plenty of imagination in the financial track.

Hey, wait a minute. Can privacy and compliance really coexist? I always feel something's off.

Privacy + compliance sounds like a good combination, but I'm worried about whether it can really be implemented... Will institutions be on board?

Privacy + compliance is indeed a good idea, but releasing slowly over 36 years... you must be very patient haha

Alright, finally someone is not obsessing over TPS and is focusing on compliant asset tokenization. This approach is clear-headed.

Oops, privacy + compliance sounds pretty sexy, but how many of them can actually be implemented?

Not hype, this is truly what should be done. The TPS arms race has become boring, and Dusk's approach really hits the nail on the head.
