There was an interesting announcement from a certain platform's product team.
Almost half of the previous spam posts originated from accounts abusing the reward distribution program in the Telegram community.
That era is coming to an end. Going forward, only creators who generate genuine engagement on their timelines will be eligible to receive rewards. In other words, this marks a shift to a simple and fair system where only those who produce truly viral posts will benefit.
This change will further accelerate the flow of high-quality content creation.

It's finally time to clean up these spam accounts; it was long overdue.

ngl this is just mempool filtering with extra steps... reward farming bots finally getting rekt? bout time lmao. quality content filter sounds clean on paper but we all know the gaming never stops, just gets more sophisticated. curious who defines "real engagement" here - feels like another arbitrage waiting to happen tbh

Finally, a platform dares to take action against those who exploit the system for free rewards.

Basically, it's about clearing out those automated accounts that exploit the system. From a game theory perspective, this move is actually about rebuilding market efficiency... But can it really be executed effectively? On the other hand, the fact that half of the accounts are spam or junk is quite ironic in itself.
