I have a friend who manages two accounts playing alpha, one scoring 20 points and the other 18 points. Sometimes he also misses opportunities due to operational mistakes.

Recently, someone asked him, since he already has a substantial amount of capital, why does he still keep an eye on these small gains every day?

His answer was quite eye-opening: it’s actually a fundamental attitude towards money.

Look at those big shots who aren’t bothered by earning a little bit of petty profit—they’re already financially free and are still figuring out how to squeeze every bit of profit from users. In reality, when two friends go out for a 200 yuan meal, the host pays the bill, and the other person can be happy for a long time. But in the crypto world, 30 yuan seems to be an insignificant number.

Honestly, next time someone complains about others chasing 20 or 30 yuan opportunities, I suggest they first pull out 5 yuan themselves, and let’s go to McDonald’s together. Experience how in some people’s eyes, those 5 yuan are incredibly precious.

Greed itself isn’t wrong, but how fiercely you indulge in it shows how much respect you have for money.

Well said, every dollar is hard-earned money; there's no such thing as small money.

Well said, every minute counts as money. Those who look down on small gains deserve to miss out on big opportunities.

This mentality is really bad. Having capital and still penny-pinching at 20 or 30 yuan, I really respect people like that.

actually, if you run a proper correlation matrix on alpha generation across multiple wallets, the variance they're capturing is statistically insignificant... but nah, point taken on respecting every satoshi earned

I love this logic, every penny is hard-earned money.

this actually hits different when you think about the game-theoretic incentives at play... the consistency in grinding those 20-30 point yields? that's not greed, that's protocol discipline. respect the compounding mechanics
