Wu Shuo learned that, according to Yonhap News Agency, a second-instance verdict was announced in a scam case in Jeollabuk-do, South Korea, which used the gimmick of "AI automated trading virtual currency with high returns." The court sentenced the main culprit A to 3 years and 6 months in prison, and sentenced four recruitment personnel to prison terms ranging from 1 to 2 years or probation. The gang, during 2017–2019, claimed to engage in AI cross-border arbitrage trading of Bitcoin, and fraudulently obtained approximately 19 billion Korean won from investors over more than 2800 times.
