When there is no profit to be made and no way forward, some people will eventually leave. This is not necessarily out of hatred, but more of an instinctive choice, an ancient and recurring law. The ignorant call it betrayal, while the wise understand that it is often a wake-up call to reality. When you lose your job, direction, or support of ability, some will quietly exit; when resources dry up and prospects are blocked, those who once swore to share life and death may also seek new paths in silence. It’s not that the vows are false, but that the conditions have changed. Respect does not exist out of thin air; like incense, it requires a foundation in reality and continuous offerings. When goals fade and strength diminishes, emotions will also gradually cool before the gods.

Human nature tends toward power, order, and possibility, like rivers flowing into the sea. It’s not that the water is emotionless, but that building houses at the points where the floodwaters pass is a misjudgment of nature. You can understand water, but you should not blame it. Loyalty and love have never been virtues that exist outside of reality. Some uphold loyalty in the name of fidelity, others anchor themselves with values; the difference is not in gender, but in circumstances and agency. Eve was not simply tempted by the fruit, but attracted by the unknown possibilities behind it. Almost all human leaps begin with the imagination of “more choices.” Therefore, rather than complaining about the cruelty of the world after losing, it’s better to understand the rules before being exposed; rather than praying for unconditional companionship, it’s better to ensure that you are always someone worth standing shoulder to shoulder with.
