Stop for a second and think about this—why do so many traders keep their real identity hidden from their trading circle?

Seriously, what's the actual risk here?

Imagine someone loses $15 on a trade you called. Is he really going to drop $1800 on a flight ticket just to track you down? The math doesn't add up. Most people move on and find the next opportunity. Yet in this space, staying anonymous feels like the default move for way too many. It's worth asking: are we protecting ourselves from something real, or just creating unnecessary walls within our own community?

Haha, losing $15, would you really go buy a plane ticket? This logic just makes me laugh. --- Basically, it's a psychological effect. Since everyone is doing it, they might as well hide too. --- That's a bit extreme. What's the point of anonymous protection? Even the big V's are still doxxed. --- I agree with this. Most people who lose money simply don't care; they're just overthinking it. --- The idea of community barriers is quite interesting, but from another perspective, a sense of security is also necessary, right?

Lose $15 and then chase after you? Wake up, everyone, this logic is really absurd. Getting used to anonymity, but instead locking yourself in. It's actually just guilt, nothing really serious. If you don't dare to show your face, don't force yourself to ride the wave of popularity, it's pretty boring. Honestly, staying hidden makes it easier to be exposed, so what's the point?

honestly the $15 loss hothead flying across the country angle is hilarious but like... have you actually checked the on-chain harassment metrics? watched how fast a doxing thread moves through discord? it's not always about the money—it's about the vitriol. that said yeah some people hide behind anon like it's a gas optimization strategy when really they're just bad at taking Ls publicly lol

Hey, no way, losing $15 to spend $1800 to chase you? Who's so free... --- As for anonymity, honestly, it's still a psychological effect, right? --- Haha, I didn't think of that logic, it does sound a bit far-fetched --- Hiding behind the screen is actually safer? I don't think so --- Thinking about it, there might not be that many real threats... --- The wall built by the community itself is even bigger than the actual risk? --- That really hit me. I also don't know why I always want to stay hidden --- At the end of the day, it's still a trust issue, that's the root --- Let me think... it seems everyone does this, so I will do it too --- Anonymous = Safety, this equation might be outdated --- Likes, that’s a punch to the heart
