That was pretty harsh, almost to the point of naming and shaming me haha

ngl this is just emotional discipline dressed up as strategy... which honestly? statistically speaking works better than 90% of the "systems" people sell you. the portfolio diversification point hits different tho—reminds me of UST in May when everyone went all-in on one narrative

Exactly right, emotions are really just a harvest machine for the retail investors.

Really, I only understand this set of logic after stepping on some pitfalls.

The data shows that the success rate of this kind of "emotional management theory" is roughly the same as flipping a coin [cold laugh].
Ironically, the more eloquently someone talks about investment insights, the more likely they are to become the next guide for harvesting new investors.
Listening to all of this sounds right, but none of these strategies have ever been tried in practice.
The ones who truly make money never bother to summarize such things; they just stay silent.
How about we make a bet and see how many of those following this logic are still around after half a year?

I saw this at 3 a.m., and my mind is still spinning. The point about emotions dominating trading is spot on; my arbitrage opportunities over the past two months were all eaten up by it. The phrase about bullish paralysis and retail investors being hurt is very true. Data can be misleading, but liquidity depth won't be. The problem is that retail investors don't pay attention to this at all.
