If you often transfer USDT, you definitely know how annoying those Gas fees can be. Plasma(XPL) directly solves this problem at the source — it is a Layer 1 blockchain built specifically for stablecoins.

In simple terms, Plasma's design logic is straightforward: stablecoin payments are the core demand for global capital flow in the future. Why not optimize the entire public chain around this? The result is zero-fee USDT transfers, combined with PlasmaBFT consensus algorithm, processing thousands of transactions per second, with confirmation times within a few seconds.

For developers, it is fully compatible with EVM; Ethereum smart contracts can be directly migrated and used without relearning a new system. The token XPL is used to pay for contract execution fees, stake to maintain the network, and will also involve governance rights in the future. Backed by top institutions like Founders Fund, the mainnet launched with stablecoin liquidity exceeding $1 billion.

In the DeFi and international payments sectors, the status of stablecoins will only become more important. Plasma approaches this with dedicated infrastructure, aiming to become the underlying settlement network for this layer of value circulation. Compared to similar solutions, this direction is still worth paying attention to.

Zero fees sound pretty appealing, but the stablecoin public chain race is really not short of options. The endorsement from Founders Fund is somewhat interesting.

Zero transaction fees sound great, but can it really be sustained, or is it just another fundraising story? The stablecoin race is so competitive, how long can a dedicated chain survive? Honestly, it's a bit uncertain. EVM compatibility has been everywhere for a long time; the key is whether the ecosystem can gather around it—this is the crucial point. Founders Fund backing is good, but how to break the cold start of the ecosystem? That's the problem. A billion in liquidity sounds impressive, but any one in the Bitcoin ecosystem easily outperforms it. Another stablecoin public chain is coming; will it still have zero users after five years? It feels no different from other Layer1s, just a different marketing angle.

Zero fees sound great, but how are the validator node distributions of the PlasmaBFT consensus mechanism? Can the level of decentralization hold up?

Zero transaction fees sound great, but does the stablecoin ecosystem really need another L1?

Zero fees sound very attractive, but I don't know if the security can keep up. It feels like just another hype.
