#DeFi生态发展 Seeing the data from SlowMist's annual security report, I feel a bit complicated. The entire DeFi ecosystem faced numerous challenges throughout the year—126 security incidents, $649 million in losses. Behind these numbers are countless users' trust being betrayed.
But I want to say that this precisely indicates a necessary stage in DeFi development. Every emerging ecosystem must go through a "developing an immune system" process. Contract vulnerabilities, account hacks, AI-generated scam tools... these issues have actually driven the entire industry to update its defense mechanisms. Looking at the data behind the numbers: although the number of incidents decreased from 410 to 200, it shows that auditing systems and security awareness are improving.
More importantly, the core理念 of DeFi itself has not changed. The ultimate goal of decentralized finance is to enable everyone to participate and have custody rights. The current growing pains are an essential step toward the maturity of this great vision.
My advice is straightforward: strengthen basic protections (strong passwords, cold wallets, verification through official channels), choose top protocols that have undergone multiple audits, and do not dismiss the value of the entire ecosystem because of short-term security incidents. The dawn of DeFi is approaching, and what we need is to be more vigilant, not to retreat.
Let's work together to safeguard this decentralized future.
