Many people believe that success depends on competing with others—competing for resources, opportunities, and recognition. But those who truly succeed often rarely get caught up in this kind of competition. They understand one thing better: don’t focus on people, follow the natural laws. When you put your attention on others, feelings of comparison, jealousy, and anxiety will arise. When emotions become chaotic, your judgment and action will decline, making things increasingly difficult. The truly effective approach is to get your state right. Stop denying yourself from the start, allow yourself to try, and let opportunities come to you. Then, use actions to match the opportunities. Take good care of your body, keep learning, keep producing, and do things that make you clearer and more energetic. You may not see immediate rewards, but long-term accumulation is guaranteed. Finally, bring your attention back to the present. Focus on what you can control, don’t repeatedly worry about the results, and avoid self-attrition. When you can act steadily, opportunities will naturally become easier to seize. Many people who seem to be “lucky” are not favored, but rather they are in a position that makes it easier to catch opportunities over the long term.
