Many people fall into a misconception when looking at Walrus — they always want to compare its performance and speed with other decentralized storage solutions. Looking at it this way, it's easy to feel disappointed.

But from a different perspective, it's a different story. What Walrus truly aims to solve is not "how to quickly access your data," but "how to prove five or ten years from now that this data has never been tampered with." This is not a design for everyday applications but a preparation for the worst-case scenario.

Imagine you don't use an emergency power supply every day, but when a power outage really happens, ordinary batteries become useless. Walrus's logic is roughly like this — it targets projects that require long-term data witnesses. It's not about betting on what the future will be, but about insuring against the most extreme scenarios.

It is precisely because of this design philosophy that Walrus is destined not to become a "万能方案" (all-in-one solution). It is not suitable for projects that pursue instant experience, but it is valuable only for applications that truly care about time. This is a form of restraint and persistence.
