There are new developments in the blockchain finance sector. Figure Technologies recently launched a platform called OPEN, which primarily focuses on tokenizing real stocks on the blockchain. Investors can directly conduct stock lending and borrowing transactions on the blockchain network, eliminating the need for traditional intermediaries. This model compresses the entire process of lending, clearing, and settlement onto the chain, offering significant improvements in transaction efficiency and cost. This can be seen as another extension of DeFi into the realm of real-world assets.

The matter of bringing real assets on-chain has been talked about for years, and finally someone is taking it seriously. But I still want to see how the liquidity looks; otherwise, no matter how efficient it is, it's just a decoration.

Is real stock on the blockchain? Sounds good, but I wonder if it will just become another way to scam investors.

Is this another on-chain real-world asset project? Feels like I've heard it too many times, and only a few have truly survived in the end.
