On January 14th, the Sui Network mainnet experienced a several-hour outage, leading to transaction disruptions and affecting dApp access. The cause was that the validator nodes were unable to complete the final confirmation of blocks. Despite recent positive momentum, with the total locked value (TVL) rebounding to approximately $1.05 billion and the SUI price rising to around $1.90—an increase of 4.7% on the day—the outage still occurred. The core development team is working hard to fix the issue, but a complete recovery timetable has not yet been determined.
