Oh my God, the Lighter TGE is just around the corner! Recently, I’ve been seeing many big investors sharing details of conference calls on Twitter, so let’s sort out the thoughts:
First and most exciting— the TGE date is confirmed, it’s coming at the end of the year, and Polymarkets shows a 91% probability of completing before December 31! This means we’re really close to the moment when newcomers can receive tokens.
But here’s the question I care about most: how many $LIT does 1 point equal? 🤔 This affects how many tokens we can finally get, and it seems like many people are waiting for this announcement. According to reports, the first round of airdrops will release 25% of the total supply, which sounds like a pretty large proportion.
There’s also an interesting point— they seem to have a way to prevent tokens from being dumped after listing on exchanges. Even if CEXs force the listing, users won’t be able to withdraw! This could be a protective mechanism for long-term holders.
What surprised me most is that Lighter didn’t pay any listing fees to any exchanges, yet it has already been included in Coinbase’s roadmap… It really feels like this project has a solid background.
Now the question is, how will the market view this initial release of 25%? Some say it will become an indicator of the overall market risk appetite. I’m still a bit nervous and wonder if it might suddenly crash the price. 😅 For experienced friends, can you share how to respond?
