Stared at the market all night, only managed to close my eyes around 3 a.m., and even then I kept waking up to glance at the trend. In the end, I only slept for a little over five hours, and that semi-conscious, half-asleep feeling was the worst.

Even more ridiculous, I spent the entire night struggling with the blanket — no matter how I spread it over myself, it always felt too short. I kept folding and twisting, but still couldn’t cover myself completely, and when I turned over, I tangled myself in a knot. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get my feet in.

Then I suddenly realized, the problem wasn’t the blanket. The real reason was: this short position I’m holding makes me uncomfortable no matter what. As long as the position isn’t closed, no matter how wide the blanket is, it still feels short.

This is the daily life of a trader — staying up late watching the market, holding anxious positions, fragmented sleep. The market doesn’t sleep, and neither does the anxiety over holdings.
