The compliance deadline for EU crypto regulation is getting closer and closer. The latest data revealed by the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) shows that among crypto companies without an EU license locally, nearly 30% have not made a clear statement — they have not informed regulators whether they will apply for a license, nor have they provided a clear exit plan.

The current situation is as follows: of approximately 90 unlicensed companies, 30% have already submitted applications, 40% have decided not to apply, and the remaining 30% remain silent. This "no comment" list has become the biggest headache for regulators. Because the deadline is just around the corner — after June 30th, the EU's transition period will end.

ESMA's regulatory framework will be fully implemented at that time, which means those companies still remaining vague will either need to accelerate their application process or choose to exit the French market. For the industry, this wave of regulation will further clarify Europe's crypto competitive landscape.
