The CIP-149 grant program for wallet, SDK and governance tool builders has pushed its deadline to January 31. The program, called "Optional DRep Compensation," essentially lets Ada holders voluntarily contribute part of their staking rewards to DReps (Delegated Representatives) they support. It's a neat model for aligning incentives—builders get funded while the community gets a say in the governance layer. Worth tracking if you're into how blockchain ecosystems structure their delegation systems.

Ha, postponed again until the end of January? I looked at this incentive model three years ago, and now it's finally starting to take shape. The Ada community's voluntary dividend distribution to DRep, to put it simply, allows token holders to vote on "who gets my rewards," which is quite interesting. But on the other hand, how many people are truly willing to spend money?

The drep model is indeed interesting, but it seems that most people are still just exploiting the system rather than truly participating in governance.

drep compensation system sounds good, but I wonder how many people will actually be willing to share their earnings...

DREP's system sounds good, but the ones who can really participate are still those big investors... What can small retail investors get?

DREP compensation is basically the community voluntarily funding it. It sounds good, but how many months can it last?

Oh no, the deadline has been extended to the end of January again. This time, can the DRep members live a more fulfilling life through voluntary contributions from the community... The language of governance has added a new chapter.
