Those who frequently follow cryptocurrency project news may notice that some projects go from inception to token launch at an astonishing speed. However, there is a different category of projects whose pace is noticeably different — for example, Dusk, which has a development trajectory that seems to tell a story of "rooted growth."

Looking at the timeline makes it clear: launching the public testnet in February 2022, followed by the incentive testnet in November of the same year, and then releasing the permanent testnet Nocturne in the first quarter of 2024. This over-two-year polishing period is quite rare in today’s industry pace. Most projects are eager to go live on the mainnet as soon as possible, but instead, they repeatedly iterate during the testing phase and address issues one by one, which can seem a bit "out of sync" with current trends.

What’s the result? When the mainnet officially launched in early 2025, the technical operation was quite stable. It’s like thorough preparation eliminated potential risks for subsequent stable operation. The actions after launch are also interesting — instead of blindly expanding the ecosystem, they continue to refine core features and gradually advance institutional collaborations. This approach directly avoids many pitfalls that projects often fall into due to rushing: frequent technical vulnerabilities, uneven ecosystem development, and fragmented user experience.

From a broader perspective, the true implementation of blockchain applications has never been a speed contest but a test of stability and sustainability. A project that is willing to spend time on infrastructure and ecosystem protocols actually demonstrates a serious attitude toward long-term development. Investors and the community can also sense this difference — those seemingly "slow" decisions often represent stronger execution capability and clearer development logic. Truly valuable things don’t need to prove themselves by running fast.

It took two years of polishing before launching on the mainnet. This pace is indeed a bit crazy by today's standards... But I have to say, watching the project run steadily and smoothly, it doesn't seem like a loss after all.

Two years of honing the sword, launched with stable operation—that's true professionalism. Much better than those projects that rush to launch and frequently encounter bugs.

Slow to launch, but no crashes once live—that's real stability... --- Two years of polishing? Does any project still dare to do that now? I haven't seen any. --- What they call "deeply rooted" is really just difficult fundraising, don't fool me. --- Wait, after the mainnet launch, did the technology really have no issues? That's already a miracle level in the crypto world. --- Dusk's pace is truly counterintuitive, but there's actually no criticism... kind of impressive. --- Talking about stability, it's just because there's no hype, so problems haven't been exposed. --- True projects should do it this way, but unfortunately most are betting on rapid explosion to bring financial freedom.

Taking two years to go live on the mainnet? That's indeed rare in the crypto world; most projects are eager to raise funds and issue tokens by tomorrow. That said, this steady and cautious approach is quite clear-headed, unlike some projects that start pumping and dumping on the second day after launch. I agree with this logic, but the question is, will investors really pay for this "slow" pace? In an era of quick gains, how many people are truly willing to wait that long? It looks solid, but I'm just worried it might still be overlooked by the market in the end.

Taking two years to launch on the mainnet is truly outrageous in this short-sighted industry. But on the other hand, projects like this are actually more worth paying attention to.

Two years of polishing before launch, this pace is indeed a bit extreme now, but the fact that it hasn't crashed suggests there’s definitely something there. --- Honestly, most projects want to go live on the mainnet within a month. Dusk’s reverse logic is a bit outrageous, but I can understand it. --- The saying "slow work produces fine craftsmanship" sounds like a joke in crypto, but they really managed to stabilize, which is the most ironic part. --- But to be fair, does an ecosystem protocol really need that much time, or is it a strategic choice? --- I believe in stable and smooth operation, but I worry that the ecosystem might not keep up, and after all that polishing, it might still end up ignored. --- It feels like watching a gamble, betting on whether long-termism can survive in this crazy market. --- Honestly, I actually feel more optimistic about projects like this, at least they’re not the kind that run away after a quick pump.

Really, tired of those projects that crash immediately after launch. Dusk's two-year development approach is indeed rare. Wait, can this really attract institutions or is it just for personal play?

Two years of polishing before launch. To be honest, this pace is a bit hardcore, but it truly impresses people. This is the kind of project that isn't afraid of slow progress, only stopping. The stable technical operation is trustworthy. Compared to those who rush to issue tokens, I prefer to work with teams that have patience.
