Recently, I discussed an interesting phenomenon with friends in the community: after Chinese Meme coins moved from niche to mainstream, a new consensus has gradually formed in the market—the true signal of a Meme's market launch is when it gets listed on top-tier exchanges.
What does this indicate? It shows that the liquidity and user base of exchanges have become key factors in determining whether a Meme coin can break out of the niche. In the past, everyone focused on popularity; now, they look directly at the listing time—this also reflects the influence of top-tier exchanges within the ecosystem. From small tokens to mainstream recognition, a well-liquid trading platform is indeed an essential step. Interestingly, this shift in understanding itself signifies that the market's maturity is on the rise.

In simple terms, it means that exchanges hold the say, and no matter how hot the trend is, launching on major exchanges is essential.

Exchanges have become the new gatekeepers. In other words, without liquidity, everything is pointless.

Exchanges going live = start making money, this logic makes sense
That's how the crypto world is, no matter how high the hype, without liquidity it's useless
Honestly, it's still centralized exchanges that are harvesting the retail investors
The major exchanges have such a dominant voice, it feels a bit suffocating
Early investors have all become bagholders, now I understand
This is the fate of meme coins, only when they go live do they count
Cognitive shift? Isn't it just learning how to cut your own people?

Really, getting listed on an exchange is a matter of life and death. No matter how hot the hype is, it's useless.
With such significant influence, exchanges seem to have less freedom for meme coins.
Wait, do those small exchange coins still have a chance to break through...
Honestly, top-tier exchanges are too aggressive in their positioning, and the cost of a mature ecosystem.
This logic makes sense, but it also indicates that the market is becoming increasingly centralized.
