The true value of blockchain infrastructure, frankly, depends on how prosperous the ecosystem is. Take decentralized storage as an example—how many projects are there, and what is their quality? This directly relates to whether the technology can be practically implemented and how much market influence it can have.

Walrus has already attracted over 170 projects building applications on its protocol, covering media, gaming, DeFi/RWA, AI, and infrastructure—almost the entire Web3 ecosystem. This not only indicates that the application scenarios are sufficiently rich but also confirms that this set of technologies is indeed feasible and useful.

Looking at some specific examples makes this clear. In the media sector, DecryptMedia has stored 1,709 articles on Walrus, using decentralized storage to combat censorship and ensure long-term, stable access to content. In an era where information flow is restricted, this approach offers new possibilities for free dissemination of media content. In sports and entertainment, ONE Championship uses Walrus for decentralized comics, combining sports IP with digital content to expand reach through reliable storage and distribution. Additionally, SnowReads, a decentralized digital library, simply uses Walrus as its storage backbone, allowing knowledge and cultural content to transcend geographical and temporal limitations and achieve permanent preservation.

Projects in gaming, DeFi, AI, and other fields are also joining in succession. The scale of this ecosystem and the breadth of applications demonstrate that the potential for decentralized storage infrastructure indeed exists.

170 projects sound like a lot, but how many are actually being used? It depends on how many remain active after six months.

170 projects are really impressive; just looking at these numbers shows that Walrus is not here to play around. DecryptMedia's move was excellent; using storage to fight censorship is a concept I love. The ecosystem is indeed real gold and silver, unlike some projects that just blow PPTs all day. SnowReads' setup of permanently preserving knowledge bases is what Web3 should look like. Walrus may have truly found a market-oriented direction, but whether it can sustain in the future remains to be seen. Still, the same old saying: no matter how many projects there are, they need to survive; can their quality stay stable? The breadth of this ecosystem exists, but what about the depth? Game, DeFi, AI all join the fun—are there many who actually use them? 170 builders chose Walrus; how many are genuine needs, and how many are just harvesting profits? Who knows? DecryptMedia's over a thousand articles are serious; finally, a project is taking decentralized storage seriously. I believe in the use case of media fighting censorship; others will have to be seen. Ecosystem prosperity ≠ value; hasn't this logic already been validated on Solana? Walrus is indeed building, not just hyping concepts—this must be acknowledged.

170 projects... There are really some things there, but it depends on how many can survive later on. Topic tags: Walrus, Decentralized Storage, Infrastructure

170 projects are not small numbers; this indeed shows that Walrus has found something The DecryptMedia case was excellent; this is exactly how Web3 should be used to combat censorship SnowReads permanently preserves knowledge? It sounds a bit utopian, but I like it No matter how advanced the technology, if the ecosystem isn't thriving, it's all pointless; this point is correct Walrus is genuinely solving problems this time, not just hyping up concepts
