The Pentagon is about to take major action. The Department of Defense announced that in late January this year, Grok AI under xAI will be fully integrated into the military network, covering approximately 3 million military personnel and civilian workers. In simple terms, this means enabling this AI system to directly support military decision-making and operations.

The official reason is to gain a "decisive advantage"—using AI to handle intelligence and optimize combat command. However, there are significant concerns. System errors, algorithmic biases, and other hidden risks could have serious consequences once they occur in military applications. This move not only reflects the broader trend of AI technology penetrating the defense sector but also exposes the ethical challenges of deploying high-risk applications in such scenarios.
