#Trust Wallet安全事件 I just saw the security incident involving the Trust Wallet browser extension, and I am completely stunned😅 2,596 addresses affected, $7 million stolen. This is a nightmare-level warning for us beginners.
What’s most frightening is that the attacker released malicious versions by leaking the Chrome Web Store API key, which means users are defenseless! Downloaded the "official" version and still got compromised—how hopeless does that feel?
Now, Trust Wallet has initiated a compensation process, and affected users can submit claims. This is a small silver lining in an unfortunate situation. But it also made me start thinking—are browser extension wallets really safe? Should we rely more on hardware wallets or official apps?
For beginners who are learning how to manage assets, this incident is a very vivid security lesson. We still need to be more cautious, regularly check official channels, avoid downloading from suspicious sources, and keep your seed phrases and private keys secure. Has anyone else experienced similar "scares"? Can you share how to prevent them? Let’s work together to fill in the gaps for newcomers😅
