On January 13, the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Paul Atkins, stated in an interview with Fox Business that he is confident the Cryptocurrency Market Structure Act will be delivered to President Donald Trump’s desk for signing within this year. “This bill aligns with the President’s strategic goal of making the United States a global cryptocurrency hub. Clear legislation and well-defined rules will bring certainty to the market,” Atkins said in the interview, adding, “We fully support this bill and are very optimistic about its prospects of being signed by the President this year. This will have a tremendous impact on the cryptocurrency market.”
