Perpetual Contract DEX Airdrop Opportunities Overview | Project Ranking + Timeline Planning

I've spent a lot of time systematically reviewing more than 20 perpetual contract DEX projects. Honestly, this is the track I am currently most optimistic about and willing to invest the most effort into.

To start with the conclusion: the most potential for releasing "huge airdrops" in the next two years still lies in the perpetual contract DEX track.

This is not just based on intuition. The data and market structure are right there.

Why is the perpetual contract DEX so popular?

In terms of user scale, derivatives trading demand has been steadily increasing. From project financing, major institutions are ramping up their investments in this track. Most importantly, many projects have not yet launched their governance token distribution mechanisms, which means the airdrop window has not truly opened.

For early participants, this is an opportunity. Think about it from another perspective—participating now in providing liquidity and accumulating trading volume means that when the project tokens go live, early users can usually receive the most substantial incentives. I’ve seen a few DeFi project airdrops in 2024, with scales ranging from a few hundred to several thousand dollars. Perpetual contract DEX users tend to have stronger stickiness, and their token economic models are usually more aggressive, so the airdrops could be even more substantial.

Between 2025 and 2026, many projects will gradually launch token incentive plans. Those who position early will be able to reap the benefits when the time comes.
