#Trust Wallet安全事件 On Christmas Day, over 6 million USD just disappeared. The Trust Wallet browser extension v2.68 was implanted with a backdoor, and attackers started their layout as early as December, only beginning to transfer funds on Christmas — this method is really meticulous.

Seeing this news, my first reaction was to be glad that I’ve learned to be smarter over the years. I still remember those days when I was completely scammed, trusting everything and installing everything. Looking back now, wallet security has never been a small matter — it directly determines how long you can survive.

Key point to emphasize: even the official version can have a hacker’s backdoor. What does this mean? It means you cannot fully rely on the perception that “big brands are safe.” Trust Wallet indeed promised refunds, which is good, but the victims’ fund losses and psychological costs have already been incurred.

My advice is: immediately check your browser extension version and ensure it’s upgraded to v2.69. If you’re still using v2.68, don’t hesitate, shut it down immediately. Also, for important assets, avoid using browser extensions if possible — hardware wallets or cold storage are fundamental.

This incident once again proves a truth: surviving on-chain for a long time isn’t about earning the fastest, but about surviving steadily. Protect your private keys and assets well; it’s always more important than chasing the latest trend.
