ChainCatcher News, Camp Network announces a partnership with film financing platform Mugafi to help finance the historical film “Swari Agra” through on-chain real-world assets (RWA). This marks the first time a Bollywood film has achieved institutional-level on-chain financing.
It is reported that the project is now open for community participation. The current financing goal is $200,000, offering investors an annualized return of 40%. Contributors’ names will be included in the film’s end credits. The film is directed by Dighpal Ranjekar, who previously directed the Marathi historical blockbuster with a total box office exceeding $9.4 million. The film is scheduled for global release on January 30.
Camp Network stated that the funds raised will be specifically used for post-production and marketing. Its goal is to provide a transparent and efficient new financing model for the film industry through blockchain technology, changing the traditional reliance on intermediaries and slow capital turnover in the entertainment sector.
