This figure has dropped significantly by 42 percentage points since the second quarter of 2022.
Employees in the U.S. with a college degree are the most pessimistic, with only 19% of degree holders believing that now is a good time to find a quality job, down from as high as 73% in the second quarter of 2022. The rate for those without a college degree stands at 35%, also the lowest in four years. Among young employees, confidence is the lowest at just 20%, while the percentage among those aged 65 and older is 41%. The pessimism among Americans regarding the job market has reached a historically rare level.
