The relevant adjustment paths include: adopting the plan proposed by Senator Alsobrooks, which limits yields to trading transactions (more favored by Democrats); or requiring only institutions holding banking licenses from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to provide stablecoin yields, the latter of which is considered more friendly to some crypto industry sectors but controversial in the DeFi field.

Additionally, sources indicate that Scott is expected to submit the House version of the CLARITY Act as placeholder text tonight to initiate next week’s review process, with the final text required to be submitted by Monday midnight at the latest.
